Green Revolution: Eco-Friendly Jewellery Is In Style With SK Jewellery

Over the years, there’s been a growing trend towards making more sustainable choices in all aspects of life. Many individuals are increasingly aware of the issues affecting our planet, such as climate change, pollution, and waste.

The world is changing and with it, so are people’s attitudes towards the environment. In fact, there has been a 71% rise in online searches for sustainable goods globally over the past five years, according to The Economist Intelligence Unit.

The Rise Of Sustainable, Environmentally-Friendly Jewellery

The jewellery industry is no different. The rise of sustainable and eco-friendly jewellery is a testament to the fact that people are no longer willing to turn a blind eye to the cost of their actions on the environment.

Buyers today want to know where their gems and metals are sourced from, how they are processed, and who is affected in the process. It’s the dawn of a new age in the world of jewellery— a more thoughtful, environmentally-friendly age.

Lab Grown Diamonds: The Eco-Friendly Way

Diamonds have always been a girl’s best friend, but who says these precious gems can’t also be Mother Earth’s best friend

Creating lab grown diamonds in controlled settings requires less energy and a lower carbon footprint than extracting natural diamonds from deep within the Earth. This makes them an ideal choice for the modern, environmentally-conscious consumer.

Discover SK Jewellery’s lab grown diamonds. These sparkling gems are ethically sourced, crafted in labs with cutting-edge technology, offering you the brilliance of a traditional diamond without the environmental impact.

How Are Lab Grown Diamonds Created In Singapore

Creating man-made diamonds involves replicating the Earth’s intense heat and pressure conditions. This process causes carbon to crystallise into a diamond structure. Over time, new carbon crystals form on an initial diamond seed, leading to the development of a larger diamond.

SK Jewellery uses a method known as Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD), aided by vacuum plasma reactors. The diamond seed is placed inside a sealed chamber and hydrocarbon gas is added to the reactor. The chamber is then heated to around 800 degrees Celsius, ionising the gases into plasma. Using high-power microwaves, the molecular bonds in the gases are broken down. This allows the pure carbon to precipitate onto the diamond plates, where it gradually crystallises to form a diamond.

This is how our Star Carat Diamonds and AllStar Diamonds are produced.

Contemporary Star Carat & AllStar Diamonds Designed for Longevity

Just like their mined counterparts, Star Carat Diamonds are evaluated based on the universally recognised 4Cs – Cut, Clarity, Colour, and Carat. They are also distinguished as 3EX (triple excellent) diamonds, signifying they have been expertly cut to reach the highest standards of proportion, polish, and symmetry. This top-tier craftsmanship results in lab grown diamonds like the Star Carat Bloom Blue Diamond Ring that sparkles with exceptional brilliance.

Looking for lab grown diamonds with even more shine? Explore our AllStar Diamonds collection, which is another symbol of lasting brilliance. These gems like The Signature Allstar Diamond Ring are cut with an unprecedented 101 facets – 43 more than a typical round brilliant cut. This innovative design amplifies the diamond’s fire and brilliance, making it sparkle more intensely. Get inspired by other popular diamond ring cuts here.
